Chi sono

Mi chiamo Michael Barbieri e abito in provincia di Verona. Sono sempre stato appassionato della natura e di tutto ciò che ne fa parte. Fin da piccolo ho praticato la pesca sportiva dedicandomi negli anni successivi al Carpfishing, una tecnica no kill che prevede il rilascio del pescato rispettando e tutelando l’habitat di cui fa parte.

Per la laurea magistrale in scienze forestali mi è stato regalato il mio primo telescopio, un Celestron 114 LCM ed è stato appoggiando l’occhio sull’oculare che l’interesse per l’astronomia è diventata una travolgente passione. Guardare le meraviglie dell’universo però non era abbastanza, avevo bisogno immortalare ciò che vedevo. In quel momento ho deciso di iniziare la difficile strada dell’astrofotografia planetaria in alta risoluzione.

Ma si sa, primi amori non si scordano mai e non potevo rivolgere la mia fotocamera solamente verso il cielo. Oggi mi dedico, con estrema umiltà e autocritica, all’astrofotografia in alta risoluzione dei pianeti del sistema solare, della luna e del sole, mentre per quanto riguarda la fotografia naturalistica mi concentro prevalentemente sulla macrofotografia.

EN: My name is Michael Barbieri and I live in the province of Verona. I am passionate about nature and everything that is part of it. Since I was a child I have practiced sport fishing, dedicating myself in the following years to Carpfishing, a no kill technique that involves the release of the fish, respecting and protecting the habitat of which it is part. For my master’s degree in forestry sciences I received my first telescope as a gift, a Celestron 114 LCM and it was by placing my eye on the eyepiece that my interest in astronomy became an overwhelming passion. However, looking at the wonders of the universe was not enough, I needed to photograph what I saw. At that moment I decided to begin the difficult path of high-resolution planetary astrophotography. But you know, first loves are never forgotten and I could not only point my camera towards the sky. But you know, first loves are never forgotten and I couldn’t just point my camera at the sky. Today I dedicate myself to high-resolution astrophotography of the solar system and naturalistic macrophotography.
