Come per la precedente immagine di Marte anche questo scatto è stato realizzato nel sud Italia. Il seeing in questa mattinata in particolare non era ottimale anche se accettabile per tentare qualche ripresa. Questa volta ho tentato di fare un IR-R-G-B, ma il canale IR non era soddisfacente perciò mi sono accontentato di un classico RGB. Nei canali verde e blu, in quest’ultimo in particolare, è possibile una sfumatura biancastra in corrispondenza del polo nord del pianeta. Con ogni probabilità si tratta di formazioni nuvolose. Ho utilizzato 2 set di filmati RGB che ho successivamente derotato. Setup: Celestron C11 - ZWO Asi 178MM - Baader Planetarium RGB CCD - Baader planetarium barlow vip 2x.

As with the previous image of Mars, this shot was also taken in southern Italy. The seeing this morning was not optimal even if acceptable to try some shots. This time I tried to do an IR-R-G-B, but the IR channel was not satisfactory so I settled for a classic RGB. In the green and blue channels, in the latter in particular, a whitish shade is seen at the north pole of the planet. In all probability these are cloud formations. I used 2 sets of RGB footage which I subsequently derotated. Setup: Celestron C11 - ZWO Asi 178MM - Baader Planetarium RGB CCD - Baader planetarium barlow vip 2x. shooting data
