Il risveglio del Sole. Nonostante la nostra stella sia ancora nella sua fase di minimo sembra ci sia qualche segno di una, seppur minima, ripresa dell’attività solare. Negli ultimi anni abbiamo passato settimane, se non mesi, ad attendere qualche macchia solare degna di questo nome; finalmente ci siamo. Da qualche giorno è presente una gigantesca zona attiva sul nostro sole individuabile grazie alla presenza di una zona più scura, denominata appunto macchia. La colorazione più scura di queste zone è causato da una minor temperature correlata ad un’alta attività magnetica. Nella foto si può osservare la macchia solare identificata con il nome AR2781.

The awakening of the Sun. Although our star is still in its minimum phase, there seems to be some sign of a resumption of solar activity. In recent years we have spent months waiting for some sunspot worthy of the name; finally here we are. For some days there has been a gigantic active area on our sun that can be identified thanks to the presence of a darker area, called the sunspot. The darker coloring of these areas is caused by a lower temperature correlated to a high magnetic activity. In the photo you can see the sunspot identified with the name AR2781. shooting data
